And it came to pass, when king Jeroboam heard the saying of the man of God, which had cried against the altar in Bethel, that he put forth his hand from the altar, saying, Lay hold on him. And his hand, which he put forth against him, dried up, so that he could not pull it in again to him.

Then Asa was angry with the seer and put him in
prison, for he was enraged at him for this. And Asa oppressed some of the people at the same time.

Pashhur had Jeremiah the prophet
beaten and put him in the stocks that were at the upper Benjamin Gate, which was by the house of the Lord.
When Jeremiah finished speaking all that the Lord had commanded him to speak to all the people, the priests and the prophets and all the people seized him, saying, “
You must die!
officials said to the king, “Now let this man be put to death, inasmuch as he is discouraging the men of war who are left in this city and all the people, by speaking such words to them; for this man is not seeking the well-being of this people but rather their harm.”
Then Amaziah, the
priest of Bethel, sent word to Jeroboam king of Israel, saying, “Amos has conspired against you in the midst of the house of Israel; the land is unable to endure all his words.
The King will answer and say to them, ‘Truly I say to you, to the extent that you did it to one of these brothers of Mine, even the least of them, you did it to Me.’
Those who had seized Jesus led Him away to Caiaphas, the high priest, where the scribes and the elders were gathered together.
Now he who was betraying Him had given them a signal, saying, “Whomever I kiss, He is the one; seize Him and lead Him away
Truly, truly, I say to you, he who receives whomever I send receives Me; and he who receives Me receives Him who sent Me.”
And they stirred up the people, the elders and the scribes, and they
came up to him and dragged him away and brought him before the Council.
They struck the men who were at the doorway of the house with blindness, both small and great, so that they wearied themselves trying to find the doorway.
2 Kings 6:18
When they came down to him, Elisha prayed to the Lord and said, “Strike this
people with blindness, I pray.” So He struck them with blindness according to the word of Elisha.
For thus says the Lord, ‘Behold, I am going to make you a
terror to yourself and to all your friends; and while your eyes look on, they will fall by the sword of their enemies. So I will give over all Judah to the hand of the king of Babylon, and he will carry them away as exiles to Babylon and will slay them with the sword.
Herod the tetrarch was reprimanded by him because of Herodias, his brother’s wife, and because of all the wicked things which Herod had done,
looking around at them all, He said to him, “Stretch out your hand!” And he did so; and his hand was restored.
So when He said to them,
“I am He,” they drew back and fell to the ground.
he fell to the ground and heard a voice saying to him, “Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting Me?”
But Elymas the
magician (for so his name is translated) was opposing them, seeking to turn the proconsul away from the faith.
And if anyone wants to harm them,
fire flows out of their mouth and devours their enemies; so if anyone wants to harm them, he must be killed in this way.
