If you walk in My ways, keeping My statutes and commandments, as your father David walked, then I will prolong your days.”

Now therefore, O Lord, the God of Israel, keep with Your servant David my father that which You have promised him, saying, ‘

You shall not lack a man to sit on the throne of Israel, if only your sons take heed to their way to walk before Me as you have walked.’

For when Solomon was old, his wives turned his heart away after other gods; and his heart was not wholly devoted to the Lord his God, as the heart of David his father had been.

blameless.

“Now it shall be, if you diligently obey the Lord your God, being careful to do all His commandments which I command you today, the Lord your God will set you high above all the nations of the earth.

As for you, if you walk before Me as your father David walked, even to do according to all that I have commanded you, and will keep My statutes and My ordinances,

“My foot has held fast to His path;
I have kept His way and not turned aside.

He who walks with integrity, and works righteousness,
And speaks truth in his heart.

A Psalm of David.

Vindicate me, O Lord, for I have walked in my integrity,

And I have trusted in the Lord

without wavering.

A righteous man who walks in his integrity—

How blessed are his sons after him.

“Thus says the Lord of hosts, ‘If you will walk in My ways and if you will perform My service, then you will also govern My house and also have charge of My courts, and I will grant you free access among these who are standing here.

They were both righteous in the sight of God, walking blamelessly in all the commandments and requirements of the Lord.

Finally then, brethren, we request and exhort you in the Lord Jesus, that as you received from us instruction as to how you ought to

walk and please God (just as you actually do walk), that you excel still more.

In integrity

He who walks in integrity walks securely,
But he who perverts his ways will be found out.

He who walks blamelessly will be delivered,
But he who is

crooked will fall all at once.
