⁸ Be temperate, be vigilant; because your enemy, the devil, is prowling about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. ⁹ Resist him, standing firm in the faith, knowing well that the same afflictions are being accomplished in your brothers that are in the world. ¹⁰ But the God of all grace, who has called us by Christ Jesus to share his eternal glory, will, after you have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you.
