Ask thy young men, and they will shew thee. Wherefore let the young men find favour in thine eyes: for we come in a good day: give, I pray thee, whatsoever cometh to thine hand unto thy servants, and to thy son David.
A good day
Then he said to them, “Go, eat of the fat, drink of the sweet, and
send portions to him who has nothing prepared; for this day is holy to our Lord. Do not be grieved, for the joy of the Lord is your strength.”
Therefore the Jews of the rural areas, who live in
the rural towns, make the fourteenth day of the month Adar a holiday for rejoicing and feasting and sending portions of food to one another.
Divide your portion to seven, or even to eight, for you do not know what misfortune may occur on the earth.
But give that which is within as charity, and then all things are clean for you.
And He also went on to say to the one who had invited Him,
“When you give a luncheon or a dinner, do not invite your friends or your brothers or your relatives or rich neighbors, otherwise they may also invite you in return and that will be your repayment.
