And Samuel took a sucking lamb, and offered it for a burnt offering wholly unto the LORD: and Samuel cried unto the LORD for Israel; and the LORD heard him.
1 Samuel 7:17
Then his return was to
Ramah, for his house was there, and there he judged Israel; and he built there an altar to the Lord.
1 Samuel 6:14

and build an altar to the Lord your God on the top of this stronghold in an orderly manner, and take a second bull and offer a burnt offering with the wood of the Asherah which you shall cut down.”

Then Elijah said to all the people, “Come near to me.” So all the people came near to him. And
he repaired the altar of the Lord which had been torn down.
Call upon Me in the day of trouble;
rescue you, and you will honor Me.”
Moses and Aaron were among His priests,
Samuel was among those who called on His name;
called upon the Lord and He answered them.
Then the Lord said to me, “Even
though Moses and Samuel were to stand before Me, My heart would not be with this people; send them away from My presence and let them go!
confess your sins to one another, and pray for one another so that you may be healed. The effective prayer of a righteous man can accomplish much.
