2 to Timothy, a true child in faith: grace, mercy, peace, from God our Father, and Jesus Christ our Lord. 3 As I exhorted you to continue in Ephesus, when I was journeying into Macedonia, that you might charge certain ones not to teach a different doctrine, 4 nor to give heed to fables and endless genealogies; which, indeed, occasion disputes rather than God's dispensation, which is in faith, so do I now.
