The Babylonians Destroy Jerusalem

¹⁶ For they will be mocking upon the messengers of God, and despising his words, and scoffing at his prophets, even to the bringing up the wrath of Jehovah against his people, even to no healing. ¹⁷ And he will bring against them the king of the Chaldeans, and he will kill their chosen with the sword in the house of the holy place, and he pitied not over young man and virgin, old man and the gray-headed: he gave all into his hand. ¹⁸ And all the vessels of the house of God, great and small, and the treasures of the house of Jehovah, and the treasures of the king and his chiefs, he brought the whole to Babel.
