Greeting

⁴ through which things very great and precious favors that were promised have been given us, that through these you may become partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through desire: ⁵ so, even for this very purpose, uniting to these things all diligence, add to your faith, virtue; and to virtue, knowledge; ⁶ and to knowledge, temperance; and to temperance, patience; and to patience, godliness;
