And I myself am persuaded concerning you, my brethren, that you yourselves are full of all goodness, having been filled with all knowledge, able also to instruct one another.

so, even for this very purpose, uniting to these things all diligence, add to your faith, virtue; and to virtue, knowledge;

The good man, out of his good treasury, brings forth good things; and the evil man, out of his evil treasury, brings forth evil things.

For a good tree does not produce unsound fruit; nor does an unsound tree produce good fruit. For every tree is known by its own fruit. For figs are not gathered from thorns, nor are grapes gathered from brambles. The good man, out of the good treasury of his heart, brings forth that which is good; and the evil man, out of the evil treasury of his heart, brings forth that which is evil. For out of the abundance of his heart his mouth speaks.

For as the Father has life in himself, so has he given to the Son also to have life in himself; and he has given him authority to execute judgment also, because he is the Son of man. Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all, but especially to those who are the household of the faith.

But I say to you that hear: Love your enemies; do good to them that hate you; bless them that curse you; pray for them that abuse you.

See that no one render evil for evil to any, but always pursue that which is good toward one another and toward all.

You have heard that it was said: You shall love your neighbor, and hate your enemy. But I say to you, Love your enemies: bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who insult you and persecute you:

repay to no one evil for evil; practice that which is honorable in the sight of all men. If possible, as far as may be in your power, be at peace with all men. Beloved, avenge not yourselves, but give place to the wrath of God; for it is written: Vengeance is mine, I will repay, says the Lord. read more.
