Thanksgiving For The Thessalonian Believers

33 We ought always to give thanks to God for you, brethren, as is only fitting, because your faith is greatly enlarged, and the love of each one of you toward one another grows ever greater;

33 We are bound to thank God always for you, brethren, as it is meet, because that your faith groweth exceedingly, and the charity of every one of you all toward each other aboundeth;

33 We must always thank God for you, brothers, which is fitting, since your faith is flourishing, and the love of every one of you for one another is increasing.

33 Brothers, at all times we are obligated to thank God for you. It is right to do this because your faith is growing all the time and the love every one of you has for each other is increasing.

33 We ought and indeed are obligated [as those in debt] to give thanks always to God for you, brethren, as is fitting, because your faith is growing exceedingly and the love of every one of you each toward the others is increasing and abounds.

44 therefore, we ourselves speak proudly of you among the churches of God for your perseverance and faith in the midst of all your persecutions and afflictions which you endure.

44 So that we ourselves glory in you in the churches of God for your patience and faith in all your persecutions and tribulations that ye endure:

44 Therefore we ourselves boast about you among God's churches-about your endurance and faith in all the persecutions and afflictions you endure.

44 As a result, we rejoice about you among God's churches about your endurance and faith through all the persecutions and afflictions you are experiencing.

44 And this is a cause of our mentioning you with pride among the churches (assemblies) of God for your steadfastness (your unflinching endurance and patience) and your firm faith in the midst of all the persecutions and crushing distresses and afflictions under which you are holding up.

The Judgment At Christ's Coming

55 This is a plain indication of God's righteous judgment so that you will be considered worthy of the kingdom of God, for which indeed you are suffering.

55 Which is a manifest token of the righteous judgment of God, that ye may be counted worthy of the kingdom of God, for which ye also suffer:

55 It is a clear evidence of God's righteous judgment that you will be counted worthy of God's kingdom, for which you also are suffering,

55 This is evidence of God's righteous judgment and is intended to make you worthy of God's kingdom, for which you are suffering.

55 This is positive proof of the just and right judgment of God to the end that you may be deemed deserving of His kingdom [a plain token of His fair verdict which designs that you should be made and counted worthy of the kingdom of God], for the sake of which you are also suffering.

66 For after all it is only just for God to repay with affliction those who afflict you,

66 Seeing it is a righteous thing with God to recompense tribulation to them that trouble you;

66 since it is righteous for God to repay with affliction those who afflict you,

66 Certainly it is right for God to pay back those who afflict you with affliction,

66 [It is a fair decision] since it is a righteous thing with God to repay with distress and affliction those who distress and afflict you,

77 and to give relief to you who are afflicted and to us as well when the Lord Jesus will be revealed from heaven with His mighty angels in flaming fire,

77 And to you who are troubled rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels,

77 and [to reward] with rest you who are afflicted, along with us. [This will take place] at the revelation of the Lord Jesus from heaven with His powerful angels,

77 and to give us who are afflicted relief when the Lord Jesus is revealed from heaven with his mighty angels

77 And to [ recompense] you who are so distressed and afflicted [by granting you] relief and rest along with us [your fellow sufferers] when the Lord Jesus is revealed from heaven with His mighty angels in a flame of fire,

88 dealing out retribution to those who do not know God and to those who do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus.

88 In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ:

88 taking vengeance with flaming fire on those who don't know God and on those who don't obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus.

88 in blazing fire. He will take revenge on those who do not know God and on those who refuse to obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus.

88 To deal out retribution (chastisement and vengeance) upon those who do not know or perceive or become acquainted with God, and [upon those] who ignore and refuse to obey the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ.

99 These will pay the penalty of eternal destruction, away from the presence of the Lord and from the glory of His power,

99 Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power;

99 These will pay the penalty of everlasting destruction, away from the Lord's presence and from His glorious strength,

99 Such people will suffer the punishment of eternal destruction by being separated from the Lord's presence and from his glorious power

99 Such people will pay the penalty and suffer the punishment of everlasting ruin (destruction and perdition) and eternal exclusion and banishment from the presence of the Lord and from the glory of His power,

1010 when He comes to be glorified in His saints on that day, and to be marveled at among all who have believed--for our testimony to you was believed.

1010 When he shall come to be glorified in his saints, and to be admired in all them that believe (because our testimony among you was believed) in that day.

1010 in that day when He comes to be glorified by His saints and to be admired by all those who have believed, because our testimony among you was believed.

1010 when he comes to be glorified by his saints and to be regarded with wonder on that day by all who have believed including you, because you believed our testimony.

1010 When He comes to be glorified in His saints [on that day He will be made more glorious in His consecrated people], and [He will] be marveled at and admired [in His glory reflected] in all who have believed [who have adhered to, trusted in, and relied on Him], because our witnessing among you was confidently accepted and believed [and confirmed in your lives].

1111 To this end also we pray for you always, that our God will count you worthy of your calling, and fulfill every desire for goodness and the work of faith with power,

1111 Wherefore also we pray always for you, that our God would count you worthy of this calling, and fulfil all the good pleasure of his goodness, and the work of faith with power:

1111 And in view of this, we always pray for you that our God will consider you worthy of His calling, and will, by His power, fulfill every desire for goodness and the work of faith,

1111 With this in mind, we always pray for you, asking that our God might make you worthy of his calling and that through his power he might help you accomplish every good desire and faithful action.

1111 With this in view we constantly pray for you, that our God may deem and count you worthy of [your] calling and [His] every gracious purpose of goodness, and with power may complete in [your] every particular work of faith (faith which is that leaning of the whole human personality on God in absolute trust and confidence in His power, wisdom, and goodness).

1212 so that the name of our Lord Jesus will be glorified in you, and you in Him, according to the grace of our God and the Lord Jesus Christ.

1212 That the name of our Lord Jesus Christ may be glorified in you, and ye in him, according to the grace of our God and the Lord Jesus Christ.

1212 so that the name of our Lord Jesus will be glorified by you, and you by Him, according to the grace of our God and the Lord Jesus Christ.

1212 That way the name of our Lord Jesus will be glorified by you, and you by him, according to the grace of our God and Lord, Jesus, the Messiah.

1212 Thus may the name of our Lord Jesus Christ be glorified and become more glorious through and in you, and may you [also be glorified] in Him according to the grace (favor and blessing) of our God and the Lord Jesus Christ (the Messiah, the Anointed One).
