Paul's Advice For Timothy

⁵ Receiving the report of unfeigned faith in thee, which dwelt first in thy grandmother Lois, and thy mother Eunice; and I am persuaded that in thee also. ⁶ By which I remind thee of the cause to light up the favor of God, which is in thee by the putting on of my hands. ⁷ For God gave not to us the spirit of timidity; but of power, and love, and of soundness of mind.
