Have borne witness of thy charity
3 John 1:12
has received a good testimony from everyone, and from the truth itself; and we add our testimony, and you know that our testimony is true.
hear of your love and of the faith which you have toward the Lord Jesus and toward all the saints;
sent on their way by the church, they were passing through both Phoenicia and Samaria, describing in detail the conversion of the Gentiles, and were bringing great joy to all the brethren.
our days there were ended, we left and started on our journey, while they all, with wives and children, escorted us until we were out of the city. After kneeling down on the beach and praying, we said farewell to one another.

that you abstain from
things sacrificed to idols and from blood and from things strangled and from fornication; if you keep yourselves free from such things, you will do well. Farewell.”

share with me in my affliction.

For what credit is there if, when you sin and are harshly treated, you endure it with patience? But if
when you do what is right and suffer for it you patiently endure it, this finds favor with God.
