And put no difference between us and them, purifying their hearts by faith.
Iconium they entered the synagogue of the Jews together, and spoke in such a manner that a large number of people believed, both of Jews and of Greeks.
Are we better than they? Not at all; for we have already charged that both Jews and Greeks are all under sin;
received the sign of circumcision, a seal of the righteousness of the faith which he had while uncircumcised, so that he might be the father of all who believe without being circumcised, that righteousness might be credited to them,
even us, whom He also
called, not from among Jews only, but also from among Gentiles.
For the Scripture says, “
Whoever believes in Him will not be disappointed.”
1 Corinthians 7:18
Was any man called when he was already circumcised? He is not to become uncircumcised. Has anyone been called in uncircumcision?
He is not to be circumcised.
There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free man, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus.
Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision means anything, but faith working through love.
For He Himself is
our peace, who made both groups into one and broke down the barrier of the dividing wall,
to be specific, that the Gentiles are
fellow heirs and fellow members of the body, and fellow partakers of the promise in Christ Jesus through the gospel,
a renewal in which
there is no distinction between Greek and Jew, circumcised and uncircumcised, barbarian, Scythian, slave and freeman, but Christ is all, and in all.
Again a voice came to him a second time, “
What God has cleansed, no longer consider unholy.”
1 Corinthians 1:2
the church of God which is at Corinth, to those who have been sanctified in Christ Jesus, saints by calling, with all who in every place call on the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, their Lord and ours:
the blood of goats and bulls and the ashes of a heifer sprinkling those who have been defiled sanctify for the cleansing of the flesh,
1 Peter 1:22
Since you have
in obedience to the truth purified your souls for a sincere love of the brethren, fervently love one another from the heart,
Surely no one can refuse the water for these to be baptized who have received the Holy Spirit just as we did, can he?”
