And this did she many days. But Paul, being grieved, turned and said to the spirit, I command thee in the name of Jesus Christ to come out of her. And he came out the same hour.
The priest of Zeus, whose temple was
just outside the city, brought oxen and garlands to the gates, and wanted to offer sacrifice with the crowds.
And Jesus rebuked him, saying,
“Be quiet, and come out of him!”
But Peter said, “I do not possess silver and gold, but what I do have I give to you:
In the name of Jesus Christ the Nazarene—walk!”
Peter said to him, “Aeneas, Jesus Christ heals you; get up and make your bed.” Immediately he got up.
so that handkerchiefs or aprons were even carried from his body to the sick, and the diseases left them and the evil spirits went out.
When Jesus saw that
a crowd was rapidly gathering, He rebuked the unclean spirit, saying to it, “You deaf and mute spirit, I command you, come out of him and do not enter him again.”
These signs will accompany those who have believed: in My name they will cast out demons, they will speak with new tongues;
And He called the twelve together, and gave them power and authority over all the demons and to heal diseases.
seventy returned with joy, saying, “Lord, even the demons are subject to us in Your name.”
When He had
disarmed the rulers and authorities, He made a public display of them, having triumphed over them through Him.
“You shall not allow a
sorceress to live.
‘Do not turn to
mediums or spiritists; do not seek them out to be defiled by them. I am the Lord your God.
earnestly warned them not to tell who He was.
For He had been saying to him,
“Come out of the man, you unclean spirit!”
God was performing
extraordinary miracles by the hands of Paul,
