so he continued there a year and a half preaching the word of God among them.

and when they were arriv'd he told them, you know how I have always behav'd towards you from the first day of my arrival in Asia:

I reply, have they not heard? on the contrary, "their voice spread thro' all the earth, and their words to the remotest inhabitants thereof ."

and try'd to gain upon the Jews and the Greek proselytes:

that I have conceal'd nothing that might be useful to you, but have inform'd you of it, and instructed you therein, both in publick and in private:

for I am not ashamed of the gospel, since it is divinely effectual to salvation, to everyone that believes, to the Jew first, and then to the Gentile.

In reality there is no difference between the Jew and the Gentile: they have all the same Lord, who is bountiful to all that call upon him.

while the Jews require signs, and the Greeks seek wisdom:

there is now no distinction of Jew or Greek, of bond or free, of male or female: for you are all one in Christ Jesus.

by which there is now neither Greek, or Jew; circumcised, or uncircumcised; Barbarian, or Scythian; slave, or freeman; but Christ is all, and in all.
