And they drew Alexander out of the multitude, the Jews putting him forward. And Alexander beckoned with the hand, and would have made his defence unto the people.

Among these are Hymenaeus and Alexander, whom I have handed over to Satan, so that they will be taught not to blaspheme.
2 Timothy 4:14
Alexander the coppersmith did me much harm; the Lord will repay him according to his deeds.
motioning to them with his hand to be silent, he described to them how the Lord had led him out of the prison. And he said, “Report these things to James and the brethren.” Then he left and went to another place.
Paul stood up, and
motioning with his hand said,“Men of Israel, and you who fear God, listen:
When he had given him permission, Paul, standing on
the stairs, motioned to the people with his hand; and when there was a great hush, he spoke to them in the Hebrew dialect, saying,
the governor had nodded for him to speak, Paul responded:“Knowing that for many years you have been a judge to this nation, I cheerfully make my defense,
But when he came out, he was unable to speak to them; and they realized that he had seen a vision in the temple; and he
kept making signs to them, and remained mute.
Brethren and fathers, hear my defense which I now offer to you.”
Agrippa said to Paul, “You are permitted to speak for yourself.” Then Paul stretched out his hand and proceeded to make his defense:
For it is only right for me to feel this way about you all, because I have you in my heart, since both in my imprisonment and in the defense and confirmation of the gospel, you all are partakers of grace with me.
