the day of Pentecost had come, they were all together in one place.
So he got up and went; and
there was an Ethiopian eunuch, a court official of Candace, queen of the Ethiopians, who was in charge of all her treasure; and he had come to Jerusalem to worship,
Also you shall observe
the Feast of the Harvest of the first fruits of your labors from what you sow in the field; also the Feast of the Ingathering at the end of the year when you gather in the fruit of your labors from the field.
know their works and their thoughts; the time is coming to gather all nations and tongues. And they shall come and see My glory.
Then the word of the Lord of hosts came to me, saying,
One of them, named Cleopas, answered and said to Him, “Are You
the only one visiting Jerusalem and unaware of the things which have happened here in these days?”
Now there were some
Greeks among those who were going up to worship at the feast;
Some devout men buried Stephen, and made loud lamentation over him.
a devout man and
one who feared God with all his household, and gave many alms to the Jewish people and prayed to God continually.
the Jews incited the devout women of prominence and the leading men of the city, and instigated a persecution against Paul and Barnabas, and drove them out of their district.
Ananias, a man who was devout by the standard of the Law, and well spoken of by all the Jews who lived there,
And there was a man in Jerusalem whose name was Simeon; and this man was
righteous and devout, looking for the consolation of Israel; and the Holy Spirit was upon him.
