Testifying both to the Jews, and also to the Greeks, repentance toward God, and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ.
I do not consider my life of any account as dear to myself, so that I may finish my course and the ministry which I received from the Lord Jesus, to testify solemnly of the gospel of the grace of God.
And with many other words he solemnly
testified and kept on exhorting them, saying, “ Be saved from this perverse generation!”
So, when they had solemnly
testified and spoken the word of the Lord, they started back to Jerusalem, and were preaching the gospel to many villages of the Samaritans.
Silas and Timothy came down from Macedonia, Paul began devoting himself completely to the word, solemnly testifying to the Jews that Jesus was the Christ.
When they had set a day for Paul, they came to him at
his lodging in large numbers; and he was explaining to them by solemnly testifying about the kingdom of God and trying to persuade them concerning Jesus, from both the Law of Moses and from the Prophets, from morning until evening.
1 John 5:11
And the testimony is this, that God has given us
eternal life, and this life is in His Son.
To the jews
And he was reasoning
in the synagogue every Sabbath and trying to persuade Jews and Greeks.
This became known to all, both Jews and Greeks, who lived in
Ephesus; and fear fell upon them all and the name of the Lord Jesus was being magnified.
I am under obligation both to Greeks and to barbarians, both to the wise and to the foolish.
1 Corinthians 1:22
Jews ask for signs and Greeks search for wisdom;
These you may eat, whatever is in the water: all that have fins and scales, those in the water, in the seas or in the rivers, you may eat.
A truthful witness saves lives,
But he who
utters lies is treacherous.
But he who
I have not come to call the righteous but sinners to repentance.”
