And have hope toward God, which they themselves also allow, that there shall be a resurrection of the dead, both of the just and unjust.
other than for this one statement which
I shouted out while standing among them, ‘For the resurrection of the dead I am on trial before you today.’”
And now I am
standing trial for the hope of the promise made by God to our fathers;
For this reason, therefore, I
requested to see you and to speak with you, for I am wearing this chain for the sake of the hope of Israel.”
But perceiving that one group were
Sadducees and the other Pharisees, Paul began crying out in the Council, “ Brethren, I am a Pharisee, a son of Pharisees; I am on trial for the hope and resurrection of the dead!”
“As for me, I know that my Redeemer lives,
at the last He will take His stand on the earth.
Many of those who sleep in the dust of the ground will awake, these to everlasting life, but the others to disgrace and everlasting contempt.
But regarding the resurrection of the dead, have you not read what was spoken to you by God:
Do not marvel at this; for an hour is coming, in which all who are in the tombs will hear His voice,
1 Corinthians 15:12
Now if Christ is preached, that He has been raised from the dead, how do some among you say that there
is no resurrection of the dead?
transform the body of our humble state into conformity with the body of His glory, by the exertion of the power that He has even to subject all things to Himself.
1 Thessalonians 4:14
For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again,
even so God will bring with Him those who have fallen asleep in Jesus.
Blessed and holy is the one who has a part in the first resurrection; over these the second death has no power, but they will be priests of God and of Christ and will reign with Him for a thousand years.
Then these men said, “We will not find any ground of accusation against this Daniel unless we find it against him with regard to the
law of his God.”
