Unto which promise our twelve tribes, instantly serving God day and night, hope to come. For which hope's sake, king Agrippa, I am accused of the Jews.
They offered for the dedication of this temple of God 100 bulls, 200 rams, 400 lambs, and as a sin offering for all Israel
12 male goats, corresponding to the number of the tribes of Israel.
The exiles who had come from the captivity offered burnt offerings to the God of Israel: 12 bulls for all Israel, 96 rams, 77 lambs, 12 male goats for a sin offering, all as a burnt offering to the Lord.
And Jesus said to them,
“Truly I say to you, that you who have followed Me, in the regeneration when the Son of Man will sit on His glorious throne, you also shall sit upon twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.
that you may eat and drink at My table in My kingdom, and you will sit on thrones judging the twelve tribes of Israel.
To James, a bond-servant of God and of the Lord Jesus Christ, the twelve tribes who are
dispersed abroad: Greetings.
And I heard the
number of those who were sealed, one hundred and forty-four thousand sealed from every tribe of the sons of Israel:
Therefore be on the alert, remembering that night and day for a period of
three years I did not cease to admonish each one with tears.
