Then the twelve called the multitude of the disciples unto them, and said, It is not reason that we should leave the word of God, and serve tables.
What, then, is to be done? They will certainly hear that you have come.
Peter and John answered and said to them, “ Whether it is right in the sight of God to give heed to you rather than to God, you be the judge;
For it seems absurd to me in sending a prisoner, not to indicate also the charges against him.”
Moses’ father-in-law said to him, “The thing that you are doing is not good.
So Moses said to the Lord, “Why have You been so hard on Your servant? And why have I not found favor in Your sight, that You have laid the burden of all this people on me?
“I spoke to you at that time, saying, ‘
I am not able to bear the burden of you alone.
So I sent messengers to them, saying, “I am doing a great work and I cannot come down. Why should the work stop while I leave it and come down to you?”

No soldier in active service
entangles himself in the affairs of everyday life, so that he may please the one who enlisted him as a soldier.
