And it came to pass, that when they had made an end of eating the grass of the land, then I said, O Lord GOD, forgive, I beseech thee: by whom shall Jacob arise? for he is small.
Then I said,
Lord God, please stop! How can Jacob stand, for he is small?”
Moses entreated the Lord his God, and said, “O Lord, why does Your anger burn against Your people whom You have brought out from the land of Egypt with great power and with a mighty hand?
He said, “
If now I have found favor in Your sight, O Lord, I pray, let the Lord go along in our midst, even though the people are so obstinate, and pardon our iniquity and our sin, and take us as Your own possession.”
But now, I pray, let the power of the Lord be great, just as You have
“Although our iniquities testify against us,
O Lord, act
for Your name’s sake!
apostasies have been many,
sinned against You.
O Lord, act
O Lord, hear! O Lord, forgive! O Lord, listen and take action! For Your own sake, O my God,
do not delay, because Your city and Your people are called by Your name.”
prayer offered in faith will restore the one who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up, and if he has committed sins, they will be forgiven him.
By whom shall jacob arise
As they were striking the people and I alone was left, I
fell on my face and cried out saying, “ Alas, Lord God! Are You destroying the whole remnant of Israel by pouring out Your wrath on Jerusalem?”
Now it came about as I prophesied, that
Pelatiah son of Benaiah died. Then I fell on my face and cried out with a loud voice and said, “ Alas, Lord God! Will You bring the remnant of Israel to a complete end?”
