For I would that ye knew what great conflict I have for you, and for them at Laodicea, and for as many as have not seen my face in the flesh;
Now I rejoice in my sufferings for your sake, and in my flesh I do my share on behalf of His body, which is the church, in filling up what is lacking in Christ’s afflictions.
Epaphras, who is one of your number, a bondslave of Jesus Christ, sends you his greetings, always laboring earnestly for you in his prayers, that you may stand perfect and fully assured in all the will of God.
So Rachel said, “With
mighty wrestlings I have wrestled with my sister, and I have indeed prevailed.” And she named him Naphtali.
Then Jacob was left alone, and a man
wrestled with him until daybreak.

but after we had already suffered and been
mistreated in Philippi, as you know, we had the boldness in our God to speak to you the gospel of God amid much opposition.
In the days of His flesh, He offered up both prayers and supplications with loud crying and tears to the One able to save Him from death, and He was heard because of His piety.
For I testify for him that he has
a deep concern for you and for those who are in Laodicea and Hierapolis.
“ Write in a book what you see, and send it to the seven churches: to Ephesus and to Smyrna and to Pergamum and to Thyatira and to Sardis and to Philadelphia and to Laodicea.”

The Amen, the faithful and true Witness, the Beginning of the creation of God, says this:

absent in body, nevertheless I am with you in spirit, rejoicing to see your good discipline and the stability of your faith in Christ.

preaching the kingdom, will no longer see my face.

though you have not seen Him, you love Him, and though you do not see Him now, but believe in Him, you greatly rejoice with joy inexpressible and full of glory,
