The Time Of The Judgment And The Resurrection Of Two Groups

1 ""At that time, Michael will arise, the great prince who will stand up on behalf of your people, and a time of trouble will come like there has never been since nations began until that time. Also at that time, your people will be delivered everyone who will have been written in the book.

1 And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince which standeth for the children of thy people: and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time: and at that time thy people shall be delivered, every one that shall be found written in the book.

1 “Now at that time (A)Michael, the great prince who stands guard over the sons of your people, will arise. And there will be a (B)time of distress (C)such as never occurred since there was a nation until that time; and at that time your people, everyone who is found written in the (D)book, will be rescued.

1 At that timeMichael(A) the great princewho stands watch over your people will rise up.There will be a time of distress(B)such as never has occurred(C)since nations came into being until that time.(D)But at that time all your peoplewho are found written in the book(E) will escape.(F)

1 “Now at that [end] time Michael, the great [angelic] prince who stands guard over the children of your people, will arise. And there will be a time of distress such as never occurred since there was a nation until that time; but at that time your people, everyone who is found written in the (a)Book [of Life], will be rescued.

2 Many of those who are sleeping in the dust of the earth will awaken some to life everlasting, and some to disgrace and everlasting contempt.

2 And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt.

2 (E)Many of those who sleep in the dust of the ground will awake, (F)these to everlasting life, but the others to disgrace and everlasting (a)contempt.

2 Many of those who sleep in the dust(G)of the earth will awake,some to eternal life,(H)and some to shame and eternal contempt.(I)

2 Many of those who sleep in the dust of the ground will awake (resurrect), these to everlasting life, but some to disgrace and everlasting contempt (abhorrence).(A)

3 Those who manifest wisdom will shine like the brightness of the expanse of heaven, and those who turn many to righteousness will shine like the stars for ever and ever.

3 And they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars for ever and ever.

3 (b)Those who have (G)insight will (H)shine brightly like the brightness of the (c)expanse of heaven, and those who (I)lead the many to righteousness, like the stars forever and ever.

3 Those who are wise will shinelike the bright expanse of the heavens,(J)and those who lead many to righteousness,(K)like the stars forever and ever.

3 Those who are [spiritually] wise will shine brightly like the brightness of the expanse of heaven, and those who lead many to righteousness, [will shine] like the stars forever and ever.(B)

4 Now as for you, Daniel, roll up your scroll and seal your words until the time of the end. Many will rush around, while knowledge increases.'"

4 But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased.

4 But as for you, Daniel, (J)conceal these words and (K)seal up the book until the (L)end of time; (M)many will go back and forth, and knowledge will increase.”

4 “But you, Daniel, keep these words secret(L) and seal the book(M) until the time of the end.(N) Many will roam about,(O) and knowledge will increase.”(a)

4 But as for you, Daniel, conceal these words and seal up the scroll until the end of time. Many will go back and forth and search anxiously [through the scroll], and knowledge [of the purpose of God as revealed by His prophets] will [greatly] increase.”(C)

The Words Are Sealed Up

5 "Then while I, Daniel, continued watching, suddenly two others stood there, one on this side of the river bank and one on the other side.

5 Then I Daniel looked, and, behold, there stood other two, the one on this side of the bank of the river, and the other on that side of the bank of the river.

5 Then I, Daniel, looked and behold, two others were standing, one on this bank of the river and the other on that bank of the river.

5 Then I, Daniel, looked, and two others were standing there, one on this bank of the river and one on the other.

5 Then I, Daniel, looked, and behold, there stood two others, the one [angel] on this bank of the river and the other [angel] on that bank of the river.

6 One asked the man dressed in linen clothes, who was standing above the waters of the river, "How long until the fulfillment of the wonders?'

6 And one said to the man clothed in linen, which was upon the waters of the river, How long shall it be to the end of these wonders?

6 And (N)one said to the man (O)dressed in linen, who was above the waters of the river, “(P)How long will it be until the end of these wonders?”

6 One of them said to the man dressed in linen,(P) who was above the waters of the river,(Q) “How long until the end(R) of these extraordinary things?”

6 And one said to the man dressed in linen, who was above the waters of the river, “How long will it be until the end of these wonders?”(D)

7 "I heard the man dressed in linen clothes, who was standing above the waters of the river as he lifted his right and left hands to heaven and swore by the one who lives forever that it would be for a time, times, and a half. When the shattering of the power of the holy people has occurred, all these things will conclude."

7 And I heard the man clothed in linen, which was upon the waters of the river, when he held up his right hand and his left hand unto heaven, and sware by him that liveth for ever that it shall be for a time, times, and an half; and when he shall have accomplished to scatter the power of the holy people, all these things shall be finished.

7 I heard the man dressed in linen, who was above the waters of the river, (d)as he (Q)raised his right hand and his left toward heaven, and swore by (R)Him who lives forever that it would be for a (e)(S)time, (f)times, and half a (g)time; and as soon as (h)they finish (T)shattering the (i)power of the holy people, all these events will be completed.

7 Then I heard the man dressed in linen, who was above the waters of the river. He raised both his hands(b)(S) toward heaven and swore by Him who lives eternally(T) that it would be for a time, times, and half a time.(U) When the power of the holy people is shattered, all these things will be completed.

7 And I heard the man dressed in linen, who was above the waters of the river, as he held up his right hand and his left hand toward heaven, and swore by Him who lives forever that it would be for a time, times, and a half a time (three and a half years); and as soon as they finish shattering and crushing the power of the holy people, all these things will be finished.

8 "I heard, but I didn't understand. So I asked, "Sir, what happens next?'

8 And I heard, but I understood not: then said I, O my Lord, what shall be the end of these things?

8 As for me, I heard but could not understand; so I said, “My lord, what will be the (j)outcome of these events?”

8 I heard but did not understand. So I asked, “My lord, what will be the outcome of these things?”(V)

8 As for me, I heard, but I did not understand; so I said, “My lord, what will be the outcome of these things?”

9 "He answered, "Go on your way, Daniel, because these matters are wrapped up and sealed until the time of the end.

9 And he said, Go thy way, Daniel: for the words are closed up and sealed till the time of the end.

9 He said, “Go your way, Daniel, for these words are concealed and (U)sealed up until the end time.

9 He said, “Go on your way, Daniel, for the words are secret(W) and sealed until the time of the end.(X)

9 And the angel said, “Go your way, Daniel, for the words are concealed and sealed up until the end of time.

10 Many will be purified, cleansed, and refined, though the wicked will continue to act wickedly, and none of the wicked will understand. Nevertheless, the insightful will understand.

10 Many shall be purified, and made white, and tried; but the wicked shall do wickedly: and none of the wicked shall understand; but the wise shall understand.

10 (V)Many will be purged, (k)purified and refined, but the (W)wicked will act wickedly; and none of the wicked will understand, but (l)those who (X)have insight will understand.

10 Many will be purified,(Y) cleansed, and refined,(Z) but the wicked will act wickedly;(AA) none of the wicked will understand, but the wise will understand.(AB)

10 Many will be purged, purified (made white) and refined, but the wicked will behave wickedly. None of the wicked shall understand, but those who are [spiritually] wise will understand.(E)

11 There will be 1,290 days from the time the regular burnt offering is rescinded and the destructive desolation established.

11 And from the time that the daily sacrifice shall be taken away, and the abomination that maketh desolate set up, there shall be a thousand two hundred and ninety days.

11 From the time that the regular sacrifice is abolished and the (m)(Y)abomination of desolation is set up, there will be 1,290 days.

11 From the time the daily sacrifice is abolished and the abomination of desolation(AC) is set up,(AD) there will be 1,290 days.

11 From the time that the regular sacrifice [that is, the daily burnt offering] is taken away and the abomination of desolation is set up [ruining the temple for worship of the true God], there will be (b)1,290 days.(F)

12 Blessed is the one who perseveres and attains to the 1,335 days.

12 Blessed is he that waiteth, and cometh to the thousand three hundred and five and thirty days.

12 How (Z)blessed is he who keeps waiting and attains to the (AA)1,335 days!

12 The one who waits(AE) for and reaches 1,335 days is blessed.

12 How blessed [happy, fortunate, spiritually prosperous] and beloved is he who waits expectantly [enduring without wavering for the period of tribulation] and comes to the (c)1,335 days!

13 Now as for you, keep on going until the end you'll rest and then rise to receive your reward at the end of the age.'"

13 But go thou thy way till the end be: for thou shalt rest, and stand in thy lot at the end of the days.

13 But as for you, go your way to the (n)end; then you will enter into (AB)rest and rise again for your (AC)allotted portion at the end of the (o)age.”

13 But as for you, go on your way to the end;(c) you will rest, then rise(AF) to your destiny at the end of the days.”

13 But as for you (Daniel), go your way until the end [of your (d)life]; for you will rest and rise again for your allotted inheritance at the end of the age.”(G)
