And now, O Lord our God, that hast brought thy people forth out of the land of Egypt with a mighty hand, and hast gotten thee renown, as at this day; we have sinned, we have done wickedly.
Then the Lord said to Moses, “Now you shall see what I will do to Pharaoh; for
under compulsion he will let them go, and under compulsion he will drive them out of his land.”
Moses entreated the Lord his God, and said, “O Lord, why does Your anger burn against Your people whom You have brought out from the land of Egypt with great power and with a mighty hand?
1 Kings 8:51
for they are Your people and Your inheritance which You have brought forth from Egypt, from the midst of the iron furnace),
They are Your servants and Your people whom You redeemed by Your great power and by Your strong hand.
set signs and wonders in the land of Egypt, and even to this day both in Israel and among mankind; and You have made a name for Yourself, as at this day.
2 Corinthians 1:10
delivered us from so great a peril of death, and will deliver us, He on whom we have set our hope. And He will yet deliver us,
We have sinned
we have sinned, committed iniquity, acted wickedly and rebelled, even turning aside from Your commandments and ordinances.
I will get up and go to my father, and will say to him, “Father, I have sinned against heaven, and in your sight;
But the tax collector, standing some distance away, was even unwilling to lift up his eyes to heaven, but was beating his breast, saying, ‘God, be merciful to me, the sinner!’
