Detailed Stipulations: Purity And Unity

¹ These are the ordinances and laws which ye shall observe to do in the land which the LORD God of thy fathers giveth thee to possess it, as long as ye live upon the earth. ² See that ye destroy all places where the nations which ye conquer serve their gods, upon high mountains and on high hills and under every green tree. ³ Overthrow their altars and break their pillars and burn their groves with fire and hew down the images of their gods, and bring the names of them to nought out of that place.
