Deuteronomy 5:13

Basic Stipulations

¹² Keep the sabbath day to sanctify it, as the LORD thy God has commanded thee. ¹³ Six days you shall labor and do all your work, ¹⁴ but the seventh day is the sabbath unto the LORD thy God; in it thou shalt not do any work, thou nor thy son nor thy daughter nor thy manslave nor thy maidslave nor thine ox nor thine ass nor any animal of thine nor thy stranger that is within thy gates, that thy manslave and thy maidslave may rest as well as thou.

Exodus 23:12

Six days thou shalt do thy work, and on the seventh day thou shalt rest, that thine ox and thine ass may rest, and the son of thy handmaid and the stranger may be refreshed.

Exodus 35:2-3

Six days shall work be done, but the seventh day shall be holy unto you, a sabbath of rest to the LORD; whoever does work therein shall die.

Ezekiel 20:12

And I also gave them my sabbaths to be a sign between me and them, that they might know that I am the LORD that sanctifies them.

Luke 13:14-16

And the prince of the synagogue answered with indignation because Jesus had healed on the sabbath, and said unto the people, There are six days in which it behooves men to work; in them therefore come and be healed, and not on the sabbath day.

Luke 23:56

And they returned, and prepared spices and ointments and rested the sabbath day according to the commandment.
