Which

That which has been is that which will be,

And that which has been done is that which will be done.
So there is nothing new under the sun.

That which is has been already and that which will be has already been, for God seeks what has passed by.

And it

Then the Lord God called to the man, and said to him, “Where are you?”

“Man, who is born of woman,
Is short-lived and full of turmoil.

“Surely every man walks about as a phantom;
Surely they make an uproar for nothing;
He amasses riches and does not know who will gather them.

I said, “You are gods,

And all of you are sons of the Most High.

As for man, his days are like grass;
As a flower of the field, so he flourishes.

Neither

“If one wished to dispute with Him,
He could not answer Him once in a thousand times.

“Why do you complain against Him
That He does not give an account of all His doings?

“Will the faultfinder contend with the Almighty?
Let him who reproves God answer it.”

“Woe to the one who quarrels with his Maker—
An earthenware vessel among the vessels of earth!
Will the clay say to the potter, ‘What are you doing?’
Or the thing you are making say, ‘He has no hands’?

Behold, one will come up like a lion from the

thickets of the Jordan against a perennially watered pasture; for in an instant I will make him run away from it, and whoever is chosen I shall appoint over it. For who is like Me, and who will summon Me into court? And who then is the shepherd who can stand against Me?”

You will say to me then, “Why does He still find fault? For who resists His will?”
