The Mystery Of Christ Revealed

1 This is why I, Paul, whom Jesus the Christ has made a prisoner for the sake of you heathen??2 if at least you have heard how I dealt with the mercy of God that was given me for you,

1 For this reason I, Paul, (A)the prisoner of (B)Christ Jesus (C)for the sake of you (D)Gentiles—

1 For this cause I Paul, the prisoner of Jesus Christ for you Gentiles,

1 For this reason, I, Paul, the prisoner(A) of Christ Jesus on behalf of you Gentiles—

1 For this reason I, Paul, am the prisoner of the Messiah Jesus for the sake of you gentiles.

2 and how the secret was made known to me by revelation, as I have just briefly written.

2 if indeed you have heard of the (E)stewardship of God’s grace which was given to me for you;

2 If ye have heard of the dispensation of the grace of God which is given me to you-ward:

2 you have heard, haven’t you, about the administration of God’s grace that He gave to me for you?

2 Surely you have heard about the responsibility of administering God's grace that was given to me on your behalf,

3 As you read that, you will be able to understand the insight I have into the secret of the Christ

3 (F)that (G)by revelation there was (H)made known to me (I)the mystery, (J)as I wrote before in brief.

3 How that by revelation he made known unto me the mystery; (as I wrote afore in few words,

3 The mystery was made known to me by revelation,(B) as I have briefly written above.

3 and how this secret was made known to me through a revelation, just as I wrote about briefly in the past.

4 (which in past ages was not disclosed to mankind as fully as it has now been revealed through the Spirit to his holy apostles and prophets)

4 (a)By referring to this, when you read you can understand (K)my insight (b)into the (L)mystery of Christ,

4 Whereby, when ye read, ye may understand my knowledge in the mystery of Christ)

4 By reading this you are able to understand my insight about the mystery of the Messiah.(C)

4 By reading this, you will be able to grasp my understanding of the secret about the Messiah,

5 that through union with Christ Jesus the heathen are fellow-heirs with the Jews, belong to the same body and share the promise with them, through the good news

5 which in other generations was not made known to the sons of men, as it has now been revealed to His holy (M)apostles and prophets (c)in the Spirit;

5 Which in other ages was not made known unto the sons of men, as it is now revealed unto his holy apostles and prophets by the Spirit;

5 This was not made known to people(a) in other generations as it is now revealed to His holy apostles and prophets(D) by the Spirit:

5 which in previous generations was not made known to human beings as it has now been revealed by the Spirit to God's holy apostles and prophets. This is that secret:

6 for which I became a worker by virtue of the gift of God's mercy which by the exercise of his power he has given me.

6 to be specific, that the Gentiles are (N)fellow heirs and (O)fellow members of the body, and (P)fellow partakers of the promise in (Q)Christ Jesus through the gospel,

6 That the Gentiles should be fellowheirs, and of the same body, and partakers of his promise in Christ by the gospel:

6 The Gentiles are coheirs, members of the same body, and partners of the promise(E) in Christ Jesus through the gospel.

6 The gentiles are heirs-in-common, members-in-common of the body, and common participants in what was promised by the Messiah Jesus through the gospel.

7 To me, the very least of all his people, this favor has been given, of preaching to the heathen the inexhaustible wealth of the Christ,

7 (R)of which I was made a (S)minister, according to the gift of (T)God’s grace which was given to me (U)according to the working of His power.

7 Whereof I was made a minister, according to the gift of the grace of God given unto me by the effectual working of his power.

7 I was made a servant of this gospel by the gift of God’s grace that was given to me by the working of His power.(F)

7 I have become a servant of this gospel according to the gift of God's grace that was given me by the working of his power.

8 and making clear how the secret purpose is to be worked out which has been hidden away for ages in God the creator of all things,

8 To me, (V)the very least of all (d)saints, this grace was given, to (W)preach to the Gentiles the unfathomable (X)riches of Christ,

8 Unto me, who am less than the least of all saints, is this grace given, that I should preach among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ;

8 This grace was given to me—the least of all the saints—to proclaim to the Gentiles the incalculable riches(G) of the Messiah,

8 To me, the very least of all the saints, this grace was given so that I might proclaim to the gentiles the immeasurable wealth of the Messiah

9 so that the many-sided wisdom of God may now through the church be made known to the rulers and authorities in heaven,

9 and to (e)bring to light what is the administration of the (Y)mystery which for ages has been (Z)hidden in God (AA)who created all things;

9 And to make all men see what is the fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the world hath been hid in God, who created all things by Jesus Christ:

9 and to shed light for all about the administration of the mystery hidden for ages in God who created(H) all things.

9 and help everyone see how this secret that has been at work was hidden for ages by God, who created all things.

10 fulfilling the eternal purpose which God carried out in Christ Jesus our Lord.

10 so that the manifold (AB)wisdom of God might now be (AC)made known through the church to the (AD)rulers and the authorities in (AE)the heavenly places.

10 To the intent that now unto the principalities and powers in heavenly places might be known by the church the manifold wisdom of God,

10 This is so God’s multi-faceted wisdom(I) may now be made known through the church to the rulers and authorities in the heavens.(J)

10 He did this so that now, through the church, the wisdom of God in all its variety might be made known to the rulers and authorities in the heavenly realm

11 Through union with him and through faith in him, we have courage to approach God with confidence.

11 This was in (AF)accordance with the (f)eternal purpose which He (g)carried out in (AG)Christ Jesus our Lord,

11 According to the eternal purpose which he purposed in Christ Jesus our Lord:

11 This is according to His eternal purpose(K) accomplished in the Messiah, Jesus our Lord.

11 in keeping with the eternal purpose that God carried out through the Messiah Jesus our Lord,

12 So I ask that what I am having to suffer for your sake may not make me lose heart, for it does you honor.

12 in whom we have boldness and (h)(AH)confident (AI)access through faith (i)in Him.

12 In whom we have boldness and access with confidence by the faith of him.

12 In Him we have boldness and confident access(L) through faith in Him.(b)

12 in whom we have boldness and confident access through his faithfulness.

13 So then I ask you not to be discouraged(M) over my afflictions on your behalf, for they are your glory.(N)

13 So then, I ask you not to become discouraged because of my troubles on your behalf, which work toward your glory.

14 For this reason I kneel(O) before the Father(c)

14 This is the reason I bow my knees before the Father of our Lord Jesus, the Messiah,

18 May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height;

18 may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the length and width, height and depth of God’s love,(T)

18 you will be able to understand, along with all the saints, what is wide, long, high, and deep

19 To him who by the exertion of his power within us can do unutterably more than all we ask or imagine,

19 and to know (AU)the love of Christ which (AV)surpasses knowledge, that you may be (AW)filled up to all the (AX)fullness of God.

19 And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God.

19 and to know the Messiah’s love that surpasses knowledge, so you may be filled with all the fullness of God.

19 that is, you will know the love of the Messiah which transcends knowledge, and will be filled with all the fullness of God.

20 be glory through the church and through Christ Jesus through all generations forever and ever. Amen.

20 (AY)Now to Him who is (AZ)able to do far more abundantly beyond all that we ask or think, (BA)according to the power that works within us,

20 Now to Him who is able(U) to do above and beyond all that we ask or think(V) according to the power(W) that works in us—

20 Now to the one who can do infinitely more than all we can ask or imagine according to the power that is working among us
