Willing Workers

1 Bezalel, Oholiab, and all the skilled(a) people are to work based on everything the Lord has commanded. The Lord has given them wisdom and understanding to know how to do all the work of constructing the sanctuary.”(A)

1 “Now Bezalel and Oholiab, and every (a)skillful person in whom the Lord has put (b)skill and understanding to know how to perform all the work (c)in the construction of the sanctuary, shall perform in accordance with all that the Lord has commanded.”

1 Then wrought Bezaleel and Aholiab, and every wise hearted man, in whom the LORD put wisdom and understanding to know how to work all manner of work for the service of the sanctuary, according to all that the LORD had commanded.

1 Bezalel and Oholiab and all the skilled craftsmen to whom the LORD gave wisdom and understanding to know how to do all the work in constructing the sanctuary are to do everything that the LORD has commanded."

1 “Bezalel and Oholiab, and every skilled person in whom the Lord has put ability and understanding to know how to do all the work in the construction of the sanctuary, shall work according to all that the Lord has commanded.”

Making The Tabernacle

2 So Moses summoned Bezalel, Oholiab, and every skilled(b) person in whose heart the Lord had placed wisdom, everyone whose heart moved him,(B) to come to the work and do it.

2 Then Moses called Bezalel and Oholiab and every (d)skillful person in (e)whom the Lord had put (f)skill, (A)everyone whose heart stirred him, to come to the work to perform it.

2 And Moses called Bezaleel and Aholiab, and every wise hearted man, in whose heart the LORD had put wisdom, even every one whose heart stirred him up to come unto the work to do it:

2 Then Moses summoned Bezalel, Oholiab, and all the skilled people to whom the LORD had given ability, including everyone whose hearts stirred them to come forward to do the work.

2 So Moses called Bezalel and Oholiab and every skilled person in whom the Lord had put ability, everyone whose heart stirred him, to come to do the work.

Excess Contributions

3 They took from Moses’ presence all the contributions that the Israelites had brought for the task of making the sanctuary. Meanwhile, the people continued to bring freewill offerings morning after morning.

3 They received from Moses all the (g)contributions which the sons of Israel had brought (h)to perform the work (i)in the construction of the sanctuary. And they still continued bringing to him freewill offerings every morning.

3 And they received of Moses all the offering, which the children of Israel had brought for the work of the service of the sanctuary, to make it withal. And they brought yet unto him free offerings every morning.

3 They received from Moses all the offerings that the Israelis had brought for doing the work of constructing the sanctuary, and the people continued to bring freewill offerings every morning.

3 They received from Moses all the offerings which the Israelites had brought for the construction of the sanctuary, to prepare it for service. And they continued to bring him freewill (voluntary) offerings every morning.

4 And all the (j)skillful men who were performing all the work of the sanctuary came, each from (k)the work which (l)he was performing,

4 And all the wise men, that wrought all the work of the sanctuary, came every man from his work which they made;

4 All the craftsmen who were doing all the work on the sanctuary left the work they were doing

4 And all the skilled men who were doing all the work on the sanctuary came, each one from the work which he was doing,

5 and said to Moses, “The people are bringing more than is needed(C) for the construction of the work the Lord commanded to be done.”

5 and they said to (m)Moses, “(B)The people are bringing much more than enough for the (n)construction work which the Lord commanded us to (o)perform.”

5 And they spake unto Moses, saying, The people bring much more than enough for the service of the work, which the LORD commanded to make.

5 and told Moses, "The people are bringing much more than enough for the work that the LORD has commanded us to do."

5 and they said to Moses, “The people are bringing much more than enough for the construction work which the Lord commanded us to do.”

6 After Moses gave an order, they sent a proclamation throughout the camp: “Let no man or woman make anything else as an offering for the sanctuary.” So the people stopped.

6 So Moses issued a command, and a (p)proclamation was circulated throughout the camp, saying, “Let no man or woman any longer perform work for the (q)contributions of the sanctuary.” Thus the people were restrained from bringing any more.

6 And Moses gave commandment, and they caused it to be proclaimed throughout the camp, saying, Let neither man nor woman make any more work for the offering of the sanctuary. So the people were restrained from bringing.

6 Then Moses issued an order, and the message was taken throughout the camp, "Men and women, don't bring any more offerings for the sanctuary." The people were restrained from bringing any more,

6 So Moses issued a command, and it was proclaimed throughout the camp, “Let neither man nor woman do any more work for the sanctuary offering.” So the people were restrained from bringing anything more;

7 The materials were sufficient for them to do all the work. There was more than enough.

7 (C)For the (r)material they had was sufficient and more than enough for all the work, to perform it.

7 For the stuff they had was sufficient for all the work to make it, and too much.

7 since the material was more than sufficient for doing all the work.

7 for the material they had was sufficient and more than enough to do all the work.

22 One board had two tenons, equally distant one from another: thus did he make for all the boards of the tabernacle.

22 Each board had two pegs, joined to one another, and he did this for all the boards of the tent.

22 Each board had two tenons (dovetails), fitted to one another; he did this for all the boards of the tabernacle.

23 He made planks for the tabernacle as follows: 20 for the south side,

29 They were double beneath, and together they were complete to its (bf)top (bg)to the first ring; thus he did with both of them for the two corners.

29 And they were coupled beneath, and coupled together at the head thereof, to one ring: thus he did to both of them in both the corners.

29 They were joined together at the bottom and they were connected on top, by one ring. He did this for the two of them, and they were the two corners.

29 They were separate below, but linked together at the top with one ring; thus he made both of them in both corners.
