God's Dealings With Israel For His Name's Sake

¹⁸ "'But I said to their children in the wilderness, "Do not follow the practices of your fathers; do not observe their regulations, nor defile yourselves with their idols. ¹⁹ I am the Lord your God; follow my statutes, observe my regulations, and carry them out. ²⁰ Treat my Sabbaths as holy and they will be a reminder of our relationship, and then you will know that I am the Lord your God."

Exodus 20:2-3

"I, the Lord, am your God, who brought you from the land of Egypt, from the house of slavery.

Deuteronomy 4:1

Now, Israel, pay attention to the statutes and ordinances I am about to teach you, so that you might live and go on to enter and take possession of the land that the Lord, the God of your ancestors, is giving you.

Deuteronomy 5:1
