Lot lifted up his eyes and saw all the

valley of the Jordan, that it was well watered everywhere—this was before the Lord

“You were in Eden, the garden of God;

Every precious stone was your covering:

‘The cedars in God’s garden could not match it;
The cypresses could not compare with its boughs,

No tree in God’s garden could compare with it in its beauty.

But a desolate wilderness behind them,
And nothing at all escapes them.
