18 And the LORD God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him.
18 Then the Lord God said, “It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper as his complement.”(R)
18 Later, the LORD God said, "It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make the woman to be an authority corresponding to him."
19 (T)Out of the ground the Lord God formed every beast of the field and every bird of the (p)sky, and (U)brought them to the man to see what he would call them; and whatever the man called a living creature, that was its name.
19 And out of the ground the LORD God formed every beast of the field, and every fowl of the air; and brought them unto Adam to see what he would call them: and whatsoever Adam called every living creature, that was the name thereof.
19 So the Lord God formed out of the ground every wild animal and every bird of the sky, and brought each to the man to see what he would call it.(S) And whatever the man called a living creature, that was its name.
19 After the LORD God formed from the ground every wild animal and every bird that flies, he brought each of them to the man to see what he would call it. Whatever the man called each living creature became its name.
19 So the Lord God formed out of the ground every animal of the field and every bird of the air, and brought them to Adam to see what he would call them; and whatever the man called a living creature, that was its name.
20 The man gave names to all the cattle, and to the birds of the (q)sky, and to every beast of the field, but for (r)Adam there was not found (V)a helper (s)suitable for him.
20 And Adam gave names to all cattle, and to the fowl of the air, and to every beast of the field; but for Adam there was not found an help meet for him.

20 And the man gave names to all the livestock, and to the birds of the air, and to every animal of the field; but for Adam there was not found a helper [that was] suitable (a companion) for him.
21 So the Lord God caused a (W)deep sleep to fall upon the man, and he slept; then He took one of his ribs and closed up the flesh at that place.
21 And the LORD God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam, and he slept: and he took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh instead thereof;
21 So the Lord God caused a deep sleep to come over the man,(T) and he slept. God took one of his ribs and closed the flesh at that place.
21 so the LORD God caused a deep sleep to overshadow the man.

23 The man said,“(Y)This is now bone of my bones,And flesh of my flesh;(u)She shall be called (v)Woman,Because (w)she was taken out of (x)Man.”
23 And Adam said, This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man.
23 And the man said:This one, at last, is bone of my boneand flesh of my flesh;this one will be called “woman,”for she was taken from man.(V)
23 So the man exclaimed, "At last! This is bone from my bones and flesh from my flesh. This one will be called "Woman,' because she was taken from Man."
23 Then Adam said,“This is now bone of my bones,And flesh of my flesh; She shall be called Woman,Because she was taken out of Man.”
24 (Z)For this reason a man shall leave his father and his mother, and be joined to his wife; and they shall become one flesh.
24 Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh.
24 This is why a man leaves his father and mother and bonds with his wife, and they become one flesh.(W)
24 (Therefore a man will leave his father and his mother and cling to his wife, and they will become one flesh.)
