And Jacob said unto his father, I am Esau thy firstborn; I have done according as thou badest me: arise, I pray thee, sit and eat of my venison, that thy soul may bless me.
Then Isaac said to Jacob, “Please come close, that
I may feel you, my son, whether you are really my son Esau or not.”
Now the first came forth red,
all over like a hairy garment; and they named him Esau.
Now in the evening he took his daughter Leah, and brought her to him; and Jacob went in to her.

prophesies, then his father and mother who gave birth to him will say to him, ‘You shall not live, for you have spoken falsely in the name of the Lord’; and his father and mother who gave birth to him will pierce him through when he prophesies.
But he denied it before them all, saying, “I do not know what you are talking about.”
and prepare a savory dish for me such as I love, and bring it to me that I may eat, so that
my soul may bless you before I die.”
And he said, “
Your brother came deceitfully and has taken away your blessing.”
