And he charged them, and said unto them, I am to be gathered unto my people: bury me with my fathers in the cave that is in the field of Ephron the Hittite,
As for you,
you shall go to your fathers in peace; you will be buried at a good old age.
Abraham breathed his last and died
in a ripe old age, an old man and satisfied with life; and he was gathered to his people.
Isaac breathed his last and died and was
gathered to his people, an old man of ripe age; and his sons Esau and Jacob buried him.
to the general assembly and
church of the firstborn who are enrolled in heaven, and to God, the Judge of all, and to the spirits of the righteous made perfect,
for his sons carried him to the land of Canaan and buried him in
the cave of the field of Machpelah before Mamre, which Abraham had bought along with the field for a burial site from Ephron the Hittite.
After this, Abraham buried Sarah his wife in the cave of the field at Machpelah facing Mamre (that is, Hebron) in the land of Canaan.
but when I
lie down with my fathers, you shall carry me out of Egypt and bury me in their burial place.” And he said, “I will do as you have said.”
Thus his sons did for him as he had charged them;
