Christ's One Sacrifice For Sin
1 NOW the law, having a shadow of the good things which were to come, not the very substance of the things, cannot possibly, by the same sacrifices which they offer year by year continually, make those perfect who approach [God];
1 For the law having a shadow of good things to come, and not the very image of the things, can never with those sacrifices which they offered year by year continually make the comers thereunto perfect.
1 For the Law, since it has only (A)a shadow of (B)the good things to come and not the very (a)form of things, (b)can (C)never, by the same sacrifices which they offer continually year by year, (D)make perfect those who draw near.
1 Since the law has only a shadow of the good things(A) to come, and not the actual form of those realities, it can never perfect the worshipers by the same sacrifices they continually offer year after year.
1 For the Law, being only a reflection of the blessings to come and not their substance, can never make perfect those who come near by the same sacrifices repeatedly offered year after year.
2 else they would have discontinued to make the offering, because they who performed the service being once made clean, would have had no more sense of sins on their conscience.
2 For then would they not have ceased to be offered? because that the worshippers once purged should have had no more conscience of sins.
2 Otherwise, would they not have ceased to be offered, because the worshipers, having once been cleansed, would no longer have had (E)consciousness of sins?

5 For this reason, the Scriptures say, when the Messiah was about to come into the world: "You did not want sacrifices and offerings, but you prepared a body for me.
7 then I said, Here am I; (in the volume of the book it is written of me) I come to do thy will, O God."
7 Then said I, Lo, I come (in the volume of the book it is written of me,) to do thy will, O God.
7 “(M)Then I said, ‘Behold, I have come(In (N)the scroll of the book it is written of Me)To do Your will, O God.’”
7 Then I said, “See—it is written about Mein the volume of the scroll—I have come to do Your will, God!”(B)(a)
7 Then I said, "See, I have come to do your will, O God' In the volume of the scroll this is written about me."
8 Having said before that sacrifice, and oblation, and whole burnt-offerings and sin-offerings thou hast not chosen, nor takest pleasure in, (which are offered according to the law,)
8 Above when he said, Sacrifice and offering and burnt offerings and offering for sin thou wouldest not, neither hadst pleasure therein; which are offered by the law;
8 After saying above, “(O)Sacrifices and offerings and (P)whole burnt offerings and sacrifices (Q)for sin You have not desired, nor have You taken pleasure in them” (which are offered according to the Law),

8 In this passage he says, "You never wanted or took delight in sacrifices, offerings, burnt offerings, and sin offerings," which are offered according to the Law.
9 he then added, Lo, I come to do thy will, O God. He abolishes the first that he may establish the second.

10 By the which will we are sanctified through the oblation of the body of Jesus Christ, once for all.

11 And every priest standeth indeed daily performing the divine service, and frequently offering the same sacrifices, which cannot possibly take away sins:

18 Now where there is remission of these, no more offering for sin [is needed].

Hold Fast The Confession Of Our Hope
19 Having therefore, brethren, entire liberty of entrance into the holies by the blood of Jesus??20 a way, which he hath consecrated for us, newly opened, and giving life, through the vail, that is, his flesh;

20 and having a great priest over the house of God,
20 By a new and living way, which he hath consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh;

22 let us hold fast the profession of hope unwavering, (for he who promises is faithful.)
22 Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water.

Encourage Each Other
23 and let us attentively observe one another, to excite an ardour of love and of good works:
23 Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;)

A Serious Warning Against Continuing Deliberate Sin
25 For if we sin wilfully after we have received the knowledge of the truth, no more sacrifice for sins remaineth;
25 Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.

29 Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace?

30 It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.
30 For we know him that hath said, Vengeance belongeth unto me, I will recompense, saith the Lord. And again, The Lord shall judge his people.
