And for this cause he is the mediator of the new testament, that by means of death, for the redemption of the transgressions that were under the first testament, they which are called might receive the promise of eternal inheritance.
so much the more also Jesus has become the
guarantee of a better covenant.
But now He has obtained a more excellent ministry, by as much as He is also the
mediator of a better covenant, which has been enacted on better promises.
and to Jesus, the
mediator of a new covenant, and to the sprinkled blood, which speaks better than the blood of Abel.
1 Timothy 2:5
For there is
one God, and one mediator also between God and men, the man Christ Jesus,
For where a
covenant is, there must of necessity be the death of the one who made it.
Therefore, since the children share in
flesh and blood, He Himself likewise also partook of the same, that through death He might render powerless him who had the power of death, that is, the devil,
the God of peace, who brought up from the dead the great Shepherd of the sheep through the blood of the eternal covenant, even Jesus our Lord,
But the Lord was pleased
crush Him, putting Him to grief;
He would render Himself as a guilt offering,
He will see
He will prolong His days,
good pleasure of the Lord will prosper in His hand.

Then after the sixty-two weeks the
Messiah will be cut off and have nothing, and the people of the prince who is to come will destroy the city and the sanctuary. And its end will come with a flood; even to the end there will be war; desolations are determined.
and not through
the blood of goats and calves, but through His own blood, He entered the holy place once for all, having obtained eternal redemption.
because God had
provided something better for us, so that apart from us they would not be made perfect.
being justified as a gift
by His grace through the redemption which is in Christ Jesus;
For while we were still
helpless, at the right time Christ died for the ungodly.
In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of His grace
1 Peter 3:18
Christ also died for sins once for all, the just for the unjust, so that He might bring us to God, having been put to death in the flesh, but made alive in the spirit;
And they *sang a
new song, saying,
“ Worthy are You to take the
book and to break its seals; for You were slain, and purchased for God with Your blood men from every tribe and tongue and people and nation.

Now even the first covenant had
regulations of divine worship and the earthly sanctuary.
if that first covenant had been faultless, there would have been no occasion sought for a second.
holy brethren, partakers of a heavenly calling, consider Jesus, the Apostle and High Priest of our confession;
And we know that
God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose.
even us, whom He also
called, not from among Jews only, but also from among Gentiles.
2 Thessalonians 2:14
It was for this He
called you through our gospel, that you may gain the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.
when God made the promise to Abraham, since He could swear by no one greater, He swore by Himself,
All these died in faith, without receiving the promises, but having seen them and having welcomed them from a distance, and having confessed that they were strangers and exiles on the earth.
Blessed is a man who perseveres under trial; for once he has been approved, he will receive the crown of life which the Lord has promised to those who love Him.
1 John 2:25
This is the promise which He Himself made to us: eternal life.
