For love is as strong as death,

Jealousy is as severe as Sheol;

Its flashes are flashes of fire,

The very flame of the Lord.

“As I live,” declares the Lord, “even though

In that day this song will be sung in the land of Judah:

“We have a strong city;
He sets up walls and ramparts for

security.

“Moreover, I will make your battlements of rubies,
And your gates of crystal,
And your entire wall of precious stones.

“Violence will not be heard again in your land,
Nor devastation or destruction within your borders;
But you will call your walls salvation, and your gates praise.

And he carried me away

in the Spirit to a great and high mountain, and showed me the holy city, Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God,
