Summary

But thus saith the LORD, Even the captives of the mighty shall be taken away, and the prey of the terrible shall be delivered: for I will contend with him that contendeth with thee, and I will save thy children.

Then shall his burden be taken from thy shoulders, and his yoke from thy neck, yea the same yoke shall be corrupt for very fatness."
Shake thee from the dust, arise and stand up, O Jerusalem. Pluck out thy neck from the bond, O thou captive daughter Zion.

I will contend

Behold, all they that resist thee, shall come to confusion and shame: and thine adversaries shall be destroyed and brought to naught.
Behold, the alien that was far from thee shall dwell with thee: and he that was sometime a stranger unto thee, shall be joined with thee.
And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse them that curse thee. And in thee shall be blessed all the generations of the earth."
How shall I curse whom God curseth not? And how shall I defy whom the LORD defieth not?
He hath taken my substance away and the thing that was left me hath he carried unto Babylon,' sayeth the daughter that dwelleth in Zion. 'Yea, and my blood also, unto the Chaldeans,' sayeth Jerusalem.
For Judah have I bent out as a bow for me, and Ephraim have I filled. Thy sons, O Zion, will I raise up against the Greeks, and make thee as a giant's sword:
At the same time will I make Jerusalem a heavy stone for all people, so that all such as lift it up, shall be torn and rent, and all the people of the earth shall be gathered together against it.
fter that shall the LORD go forth, to fight against those Heathen, as men used to fight in the day of battle.
What shall we then say unto these things? if God be on our side: who can be against us?
Rejoice over her thou heaven, and ye holy apostles, and prophets: for God hath given your judgment on her."

I will save

Thy children shall all be taught of God, and I will give them plenteousness of peace.
But Jerusalem, which is above, is free: which is the mother of us all.

Therefore shall the mighty people give glory unto thee, and the cities of the cruel Heathen must fear thee.
No man can enter into a strong man's house, and take away his goods, except he first bind that strong man and then spoil his house.
