3 your gold and silver are rusted, and their rust will testify against you and eat into your very flesh, for you have stored up fire for the last days.

5 You have lived luxuriously and voluptuously here on earth; you have fattened your hearts for the day of slaughter.

11 Behold, we count them happy which endure. Ye have heard of the patience of Job, and have seen the end of the Lord; that the Lord is very pitiful, and of tender mercy.

12 Above all, my brothers, do not swear an oath, either by heaven or by the earth, or by anything else; let your "Yes" be a plain Yes, and your "No" a plain No, or you will fall under condemnation.
