The cities of the south shall be shut up, and none shall open them: Judah shall be carried away captive all of it, it shall be wholly carried away captive.
They will come in from the
cities of Judah and from the environs of Jerusalem, from the land of Benjamin, from the lowland, from the hill country and from the Negev, bringing burnt offerings, sacrifices, grain offerings and incense, and bringing sacrifices of thanksgiving to the house of the Lord.
cities of the hill country, in the cities of the lowland, in the cities of the Negev, in the land of Benjamin, in the environs of Jerusalem and in the cities of Judah, the flocks will again pass under the hands of the one who numbers them,’ says the Lord.
They shall divide it into seven portions;
Judah shall stay in its territory on the south, and the house of Joseph shall stay in their territory on the north.
“Son of man, set your face toward
Teman, and speak out against the south and prophesy against the forest land of the Negev,
It shall besiege you in all your towns until your high and fortified walls in which you trusted come down throughout your land, and it shall besiege you in all your towns throughout your land which the Lord your God has given you.
“Behold, He tears down, and it cannot be rebuilt;
imprisons a man, and there can be no release.
As for the rest of the people who were left in the city, the
deserters who had gone over to him and the rest of the people who remained, Nebuzaradan the captain of the bodyguard carried them into exile in Babylon.
Then the king of Babylon
struck them down and put them to death at Riblah in the land of Hamath. So Judah was led away into exile from its land.
lay waste your cities as well and will make your sanctuaries desolate, and I will not smell your soothing aromas.
But it shall come about, if you do not obey the Lord your God, to observe to do all His commandments and His statutes with which I charge you today, that all these curses will come upon you and overtake you:

So Judah was led away into exile from its land.
