Bildad's Third Speech

11 Then Bildad the Shuhite answered,

11 Then answered Bildad the Shuhite, and said,

11 Then Bildad the Shuhite replied:

11 Bildad from Shuah responded and said:

11 Then Bildad the Shuhite answered,

22 "Dominion and awe belong to Him Who establishes peace in His heights.

22 Dominion and fear are with him, he maketh peace in his high places.

22 Dominion and dread belong to Him, the One who establishes harmony in the heavens.

22 "Dominion and fear belong to God; who fashions peace in his high heaven.

22 Dominion and fear are with [God]; He makes peace in His high places.

33 "Is there any number to His troops? And upon whom does His light not rise?

33 Is there any number of his armies? and upon whom doth not his light arise?

33 Can His troops be numbered? Does His light not shine on everyone?

33 Is there any limit to his armies? On whom does his light not shine?

33 Is there any number to His armies? And upon whom does not His light arise?

44 "How then can a man be just with God? Or how can he be clean who is born of woman?

44 How then can man be justified with God? or how can he be clean that is born of a woman?

44 How can a person be justified before God? How can one born of woman be pure?

44 How can a human being become right with God? How can a human being be pure?

44 How then can man be justified and righteous before God? Or how can he who is born of a woman be pure and clean?

55 "If even the moon has no brightness And the stars are not pure in His sight,

55 Behold even to the moon, and it shineth not; yea, the stars are not pure in his sight.

55 If even the moon does not shine and the stars are not pure in His sight,

55 Behold, even the moon isn't bright, and the stars aren't pure in his eyes.

55 Behold, even the moon has no brightness [compared to God's glory] and the stars are not pure in His sight -- "

66 How much less man, that maggot, And the son of man, that worm!"

66 How much less man, that is a worm? and the son of man, which is a worm?

66 how much less man, who is a maggot, and the son of man, who is a worm!

66 How much less is man, who is only a maggot, or a man's children, who are only worms!"

66 How much less man, who is a maggot! And a son of man, who is a worm!
