If I regard wickedness in my heart,
Lord will not hear;
Therefore speak to them and tell them, ‘Thus says the Lord
God, “Any man of the house of Israel who sets up his idols in his heart, puts right before his face the stumbling block of his iniquity, and then comes to the prophet, I the Lord will be brought to give him an answer in the matter in view of the multitude of his idols,
If your right eye makes you stumble, tear it out and throw it from you; for it is better for you to lose one of the parts of your body, than for your whole body to be thrown into hell.
“What man is like Job,

endure ill-treatment with the people of God than to enjoy the passing pleasures of sin,

it is better, if God should will it so, that you suffer for doing what is right rather than for doing what is wrong.

none of you suffers as a murderer, or thief, or evildoer, or a troublesome meddler;
