The Prologue To John's Gospel

¹⁷ For the law was given through Moses, but the grace and the truth of God came through Jesus, the Christ. ¹⁸ No one has seen God at any time; the only begotten God who is in the bosom of the Father, He has explained Him. ¹⁹ And this is the testimony of John, when the Jews sent priests and Levites from Jerusalem to ask him, Who art thou?

Matthew 11:27
