John 11:1

Treasury of Scripture Knowledge

Now a certain man was sick, named Lazarus, of Bethany, the town of Mary and her sister Martha.

saying, Lord, behold he whom thou lovest is sick.

And in those days she was sick and died; whom having washed, they laid in an upper chamber.

Now Jesus loved Martha, and her sister, and Lazarus. So after he had heard that he was sick,

There they made him a supper, and Martha served; but Lazarus was one of them who sat at table with him.

And there was a certain beggar, named Lazarus, who was laid at his gate, full of sores;

Then Jesus, six days before the passover, came to Bethany, where Lazarus was, who had been dead, whom he had raised from the dead.

And leaving them, he went out of the city to Bethany and lodged there.

And when they were come nigh to Jerusalem to Bethphage and Bethany,

And as they went, he entered into a certain village, and a certain woman, named Martha, received him into her house.
