Jesus wept.

For

Jesus answered and said, “This voice has not come for My sake, but for your sakes.

For their sakes I sanctify Myself, that they themselves also may be sanctified in truth.

The Lord

appeared to him the same night and said,

“I am the God of your father Abraham;

Do not fear, for I am with you.

I will bless you, and multiply your descendants,
For the sake of My servant Abraham.”

It came about that from the time he made him overseer in his house and over all that he owned, the Lord

blessed the Egyptian’s house on account of Joseph; thus the Lord’s blessing was upon all that he owned, in the house and in the field.

He permitted no man to oppress them,
And He reproved kings for their sakes:

“If anyone fiercely assails you it will not be from Me.

Whoever assails you will fall because of you.

Thus says the Lord,
“As the new wine is found in the cluster,
And one says, ‘Do not destroy it, for there is benefit in it,’
So I will act on behalf of My servants
In order not to destroy all of them.

For all things are for your sakes, so that the grace which is

spreading to more and more people may cause the giving of thanks to abound to the glory of God.

For this reason I endure all things for the sake of those who are chosen, so that they also may obtain the salvation which is in Christ Jesus and with it eternal glory.

But when Jesus heard this, He said, “This sickness is not to end in death, but for the glory of God, so that the Son of God may be glorified by it.”

This beginning of His

signs Jesus did in Cana of Galilee, and manifested His glory, and His disciples believed in Him.

Do you not believe that I am in the Father, and the Father is in Me? The words that I say to you I do not speak on My own initiative, but the Father abiding in Me does His works.

These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, so that you may know that you have eternal life.
