John 14:7

Jesus Reveals The Father

⁶ Jesus proclaimed: I am the way, the truth, and the life! No one comes to the Father except through me. ⁷ If you had known Me, you would have known My Father also; from now on you know Him, and have seen Him.” ⁸ Philip said: Lord, show us the Father, and it is sufficient for us.

My Father

John 8:19

They said: Where is your Father? Jesus answered: You do not know me, nor do you know my Father! If you knew me you would also know my Father.

Matthew 11:27

All things have been delivered to me from my Father. Only the Father knows the Son, and only the Son knows the Father. The Son tells others about the Father so that they can know him too.

Luke 10:22

All things have been delivered to me from my Father. No one knows who the Son is except the Father. And no one knows who the Father is except the Son and those to whom the Son is willing to reveal him.

John 1:18

No man has ever seen God. The only begotten God-like one who is closest to the Father (in the bosom of the Father) tells us about him. (Psalm 8:5)

John 6:46

No one has seen the Father. Only he who is from God, He has seen the Father.

John 14:9-10

Jesus responded: Have I been with you so long a time and you do not know me Philip? He who has seen me has discerned (experienced) (perceived) the Father. And you say, show us the Father?

John 14:16-20

I will pray to the Father, and he will give you another helper, that he [the Father] may be with you forever.

John 15:24

If I had not done among them the works that no one else did, they would have no sin. They have seen and hated both my Father and me.

But they do these things because they do not know the Father or me.

When the Spirit of truth comes it will guide you to all truth for it will not speak from itself. It will speak the things it hears and declare to you the things that are to come.

I gave them the words that you gave me. They understood them and knew I came from you. They believed you sent me.

John 17:21

May they all be united (in agreement) as one. Just as you, Father, are with me, and I am with you. Help them be united with us! That way the world may believe that you sent me.

John 17:23

I with them, and you with me, that they may accomplish complete unity. That way the world may know that you sent me and that you love them just as you love me.

John 17:26

I have made your name known, and will make it known. That way your love for me may be with them and I may be with them.
