Jesus Predicts His Return To The Disciples

¹⁹ Jesus knew that they wished to ask Him, and He said to them, "Do ye inquire among yourselves about this that I said, 'A little while, and ye behold Me not, and again a little while, and ye will see Me!' ²⁰  Verily, verily, I say to you, that ye will weep and lament, but the world will rejoice: ye will be made sorrowful, but your sorrow will be turned into joy. ²¹ A woman, when she is in travail, has sorrow, because her hour came; but, when she bears the child, she no longer remembers the anguish, because of the joy that a man was born into the world.
