But one of the soldiers with a spear pierced his side, and forthwith came there out blood and water.
Peter *said to Him, “Never shall You wash my feet!” Jesus answered him,
“ If I do not wash you, you have no part with Me.”
Purify me with hyssop, and I shall be clean; Wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow.
Then I will
sprinkle clean water on you, and you will be clean; I will cleanse you from all your filthiness and from all your idols.
“In that day a
fountain will be opened for the house of David and for the inhabitants of Jerusalem, for sin and for impurity.
Now on the next day,
the day after the preparation, the chief priests and the Pharisees gathered together with Pilate,
Now why do you delay?
Get up and be baptized, and wash away your sins, calling on His name.’

At that time two robbers *were crucified with Him, one on the right and one on the left.
