Pilate Attempts To Release Jesus

⁵ Jesus, therefore, came forth without, wearing the thorn-crown, and the purple robe. And he says to them, "Behold, the Man!" ⁶ When, therefore, the high priests and the officers saw Him, they cried out, "Crucify! crucify!" Pilate says to them, "Take ye Him, and crucify Him; for I find not a crime in Him." ⁷ The Jews, therefore, answered him, "We have a law, and according to the law He ought to die, because He made Himself God's Son."
